Walking
The area attracts many walking and hiking tourists. At request we send you 10 walking trails in the immediate area. Walking through one of the dozen impressive gorges in the area is popular.
Walk down the valley to Gavalochori en pay a short visit to the local museum and the old olive oil mill. Hardly to believe that only 30 years ago the oil was still produced as 500 years ago.
Don't forget to walk through the old centre of VAMOS (only 2km away). Cars cannot pass the narrow streets and also pass at the local tourist office ( the girls are very helpful - guides for hiking etc..) and the local music cafe.
On the APOKORONAS plateau (250-300m altitude) you can make beautiful walks with fantastic view to the sea, the valley and the mountains.
Walking through one of the 50 impressive gorges in the area is also very popular.
