From your holiday house VILLA Maquis a trip to the most beautiful city CHANIA is a must. With the car it takes 30min, but there are also busses leaving from the center of VAMOS or a taxi there takes you for 40€ where you want to be.
Beside of the old town with typical narrow streets and many shops, there is the modern part with more exclusive brands and many lounge bars. At least take a walk to the old venetian harbor with the many greek fish restaurants.
Next to the harbor there is also a Turkish quarter with narrow street and squares less busy but very cosy.
